• Where can I find Grapery® table grapes?

Thank you for your interest in finding our premium table grapes in a market near you. The availability of each variety of our premium table grapes differs throughout the season by their unique ripening schedule and based on weather patterns and other environmental variables that change every year. Additionally, the logistics of the supply chain from us, the growers, to your local store are complex. That can make it difficult for us to pinpoint exactly where and when our grapes are available in your favorite market.

    But we want to help.

Check our Store Locator to see if one of our friendly retail partners is near you. Give them a call to see when our world class, flavorful grapes are in stock. You can also contact the produce manager of your local store and request they carry our delicious premium grapes.

And please remember that our produce is seasonal, limited, and in demand so don't wait! Our world class flavor will be worth your effort.

  • How did you get Cotton Candy grapes to taste like this?

We achieved the astonishing flavor by working closely with our breeding partner and using all-natural breeding practices. We breed for flavor, continuously experimenting, trying out a wide range of cross-pollination combinations. Frankly, we were stunned when we discovered a new grape that tasted like cotton candy. But, rest assured, it was accomplished by completely natural means. We didn’t apply any “cotton candy flavoring” or plant any sort of flavoring materials into the soil to attain the cotton candy flavor. It was the result of a lot of hard work, innovation and, okay, a bit of good luck.

  • Is Grapery organic? Do you use pesticides?

Be assured Grapery makes every effort to be responsible and safe with our agricultural practices. We are not certified organic and we’re not trying to be. Often times, USDA certified organic practices amount to benign neglect in attempts to do no harm. These practices make organic crops more susceptible to drought and pestilence that can cause the farms to fail. Farm failures increase unemployment and cause food shortages. We believe a more sustainable route is to make judicious, wise decisions and implement proven, safe modern agricultural practices.

One of these modern practices is the careful use of crop protection. Like most growers around the world, we use as few of these interventions as possible. More than that, through years of rigorous experimentation we have developed numerous techniques to add nutritional complexity and nurture the perfect soil biology to strengthen and sustain our vines.

Organic or not, safety should always come first. We specifically test all of our fruit for residues before we harvest them. This ensures that our grapes are not only delicious, but also safe and healthy to consume. Additionally, as with all produce, we recommend that you follow proper food handling procedures including washing any fruit or produce before you enjoy it.

  • Are your farming practices sustainable?

Absolutely. In fact, we work hard to ensure that all of our practices, from our agricultural methods to employment practices, fit our comprehensive philosophy of sustainability.

When most companies talk about sustainability, they are referring solely to ecological practices. We have spent years perfecting our agricultural methods, from adding nutritional complexity to our vines from seaweed based products, to intricate methods of nurturing the perfect soil biology. As well as the most responsible uses of crop protection and water resources.

But we believe that sustainability is more than that.

It also means that our grapes continually provide the highest quality of flavor, our employees have stable employment and that we sustain the local and regional economies. Everything we do is done to make sure that Grapery is growing world class table grapes for many years to come.

  • When are Grapery table grapes in season?

Every grape variety is unique, and unlike other companies we don't harvest all of our grapes at once. Instead, we wait until each one is at the peak of flavor before we harvest and send them on to our retail partners. That's why each variety has a different window of availability. Our helpful Availability Calendar shows the date ranges when each flavorful variety is in season.

  • Are your grapes Genetically Modified (GMO)?

No. We work hard to breed our grapes naturally over time and to develop innovative, sustainable farming techniques that create exceptional and amazing flavor without the use of genetic engineering. (In fact no grapes currently on the market are genetically engineered (GMO)!).

We are able to achieve the unique taste experience of our grapes without any additives or infusions, they are truly “all natural."  So when you try our grapes, you'll always enjoy a distinctive, delicious flavor. Nothing more. Nothing less. It's in our nature.

  • Do you sell plants or cuttings?

It's always great to know that our efforts are appreciated, and we thank you for your interest. However, the vines we grow are developed and patented by our breeding partner, IFG, and unavailable for sale or licensing.

  • How do you get such wonderful and bold flavors from your grapes?

The unique and sometimes surprising flavors of Grapery's grapes are the result of our innovative farming techniques combined with all-natural breeding practices by our breeding partner, IFG. We start with IFG grape varietals that have been developed over years of natural cross-breeding, then we raise them in fields cultivated under ideal growing conditions. Finally, we let our table grapes mature on the vine until they have reached their perfect flavor--whenever that may be-- before harvesting them. This means that each variety is selectively harvested several times throughout the growing season. It's a tall order, but to achieve our incredible flavors nothing less will do.

  • Sometimes when I eat seedless grapes they're not entirely seedless. Why is that?

All grapes, even ‘seedless’ varieties, have seeds. Usually, these seeds don’t grow to be more than a seed trace. Leaving fruit on the vine longer increases the risk of a harder, more noticeable seed trace. But more importantly, allowing our grapes to ripen on the vine longer ensures that you get the best tasting, most unique flavor experience possible. We think it’s worth the risk. After you try our world renowned table grapes, we think you’ll agree.

  • Where do you grow your grapes?

Our grapes, each and every variety, are grown right here in Kern and Tulare counties in idyllic California.

  • Where can I find great table grape recipes?

Our plump, juicy grapes offer world class flavor all by themselves and they make wonderful additions to many dishes. We have enjoyed enhancing many dishes with our luscious and crisp Sweet Celebration® Flavor Promise grapes in particular. Our commitment to growing the most flavorful grapes makes them ideal for cooking as they maintain their flavor and add to the complexity of any dish. Since we pick our grapes at the peak of ripeness they maintain their integrity for cooking as well.
